LET'S DO THIS!!!
If you've ever wanted to see me leap off a tall building, now's your chance. On Saturday, August 19, I'm making the jump.
Am I a superhero? No. I will be tied to a rope.
I'm raising money for Easter Seals by rappelling down the side of a really tall building! (In fact, it's the building pictured behind me in this photo). Hopefully they will use some of that cash to soften the landing before putting it to good use.
Sounds like fun, right? I know! I'm so excited about it. :) It's 22 storeys of heart-pounding fear.
But it's not just about fun. (Heck, I would have done it just for fun but, by an amazing stroke of luck, it's actually for a great cause, too...)
Easter Seals can talk about themselves a lot better than I can. Here's what they have to say:
"For more than 90 years, Easter Seals has encouraged Canadians living with disabilities to live life actively, pushing boundaries to contribute to the well-being of themselves and their communities. Since 2005, Drop Zone events across the country have collectively raised over $14 million and more than 7,400 brave superheroes have taken the drop in support of Easter Seals."
Awesome, right? You bet. I'm in.
If you can't jump off the side of a building with me then why not donate to see me do it.
